Robert A. Searles, DDS has been a practicing dentist for over 30 years. In 1990 he moved his practice from Chicago, Illinois to St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands. An avid sailor, he made contacts with the many cruising families, racers, and charter boat operators in the area. Many of these sailors regularly travel offshore, and while it is standard procedure to have an emergency medical kit on board, there was nothing available that addressed potential dental emergencies that might occur while traveling.

Dr. Searles designed a convenient, inexpensive, dental emergency kit, complete with detailed instructions that his sailing clients could take with them on their travels. This product was enthusiastically received by his non-sailing friends and clients as well.
